چکیده

Abstract An approach to removing crystal violet (CV) dye from aqueous solutions was investigated by nano porous carbon (NC) derived vinasse waste. The NC prepared via pyrolysis carbonization and potassium hydroxide chemical activation process. characterized TGA, FTIR, BET analysis. optimal condition of the used adsorb CV in at room temperature. Quantitative adsorption of crystal violet.

The formula for crystal violet given in Conn's book (1940) implies that quantitative measurement of the dye adsorbed by bacterial cells should be possible by a suitable micro-Kjeldahl procedure. At the present time there is no satisfactory method for estimating the degree of gram positivity although the need for such a procedure is recognized and is discussed by Bartholomew and Mittwer (1952). ...

Adsorption kinetics of crystal violet dye on commercial activated carbon and activated carbon obtained from Syzygium cumini seed

Adsorption of crystal violet (CV) in aqueous solution on commercial activated carbon (CAC) and activated carbon obtained from Syzygium cumini seed (SCSC) have been studied comparatively. The effect of various experimental parameters has been investigated using a batch adsorption technique to obtain information on treating effluents from the dye industry. The extent of dye removal increased with...

Adsorption of 4-chlorophenol from aqueous solution using activated carbon synthesized from aloe vera green wastes

In this study, activated carbon synthesized from Aloe vera green wastes was used as a sorbent to remove 4-chlorophenol (4-CP) from aqueous solutions. The influence of contact time (0-100 minutes), pH (2-8), adsorbent dosage (1-9 g/l), and initial 4-CP concentration (10-60 mg/l) in batch system was investigated on the sorption. The sorbent was specified using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). ...
